Flight Attendants are responsible for passenger safety, comfort, and in-flight service. While onboard the aircraft, Flight Attendants are responsible to the Captain for the duration of the flight.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

➢ Complete all duties and responsibilities for passenger safety and comfort, in accordance with the approved Wasaya Airways Flight Attendant Manual along with company policies.

➢ During an emergency, follow the instructions of the Captain.

➢ Complete all required safety announcements and demonstrations.

➢ Plan, direct and control the service as required.➢Always conduct oneself with professionalism.

➢ Successfully complete all required Flight Attendant Training.

➢ Foster a healthy work environment and promote a positive climate within the workplace.

➢ Perform/uphold our Customer Care Commitments with internal and external customers.

➢ Any other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

➢Graduate of Seneca's Flight Services Diploma Program.

➢Holds a valid passport and necessary work visas to travel domestically.

➢Must be able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card.

➢Fluent in English; communication skills in French, Oji-Cree or Ojibway considered an asset.

➢An effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.

➢Comfortable working as a team and independently as sole Flight Attendant on an aircraft.

➢Superior customer service skills with a professional and neat appearance.

➢Ability to handle challenging situations with sensitivity, tactfulness and/or diplomacy.

➢Previous Flight Attendant or airline experience considered an asset.

➢Experience with and/or knowledge of First Nations Organizations is an asset.

➢Must have reliable transportation to and from airport.

WORKING CONDITIONS

➢Travel is required.

➢Overtime as required.

➢Weekend and evening work is required.

➢Overnights scheduled as needed.

➢Must be able to commit to availability on short notice.

➢Ability to work in various weather conditions.

➢Exposure to loud noises, and other hazards of the job.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

➢Ability to lift or move up to 50lbs.

➢Manual dexterity is required to use aircraft equipment.

OTHERS

➢Must be willing to commit to employment for a minimum of six months.

➢Minimum monthly pay guarantee of 160 hours per month.

➢Starting hourly rate $21/hr.

➢Blocks of work are 28 day cycles; 18 days are scheduled flying with 10 guaranteed days off.

➢Flights operate out of Wasaya's two bases: Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay.

➢Company RRSP matching.

➢Interline passes with Porter.

➢Initial Training start date to be confirmed however, it is anticipated to be the last two weeks of April 2024 with flying schedule to commence in the month of May.
