Canada Jetlines Crew Leader Flight Attendants act as leaders on board our aircraft ensuring the overall performance of the Flight Attendants and adherence to company standards on board. In addition, our Crew Leader Flight Attendants ensure the safety and comfort of passengers and crew members during flights and act as true ambassadors of the customer experience onboard each Canada Jetlines flight. Jetlines Crew Leader Flight Attendants drive exceptional moments for our customers onboard and strive at every opportunity to create a remarkable experience for every customer while ensuring safety first as they lead our Flight Attendants on-board and act as a key liaison with the In-Flight Service Management Team.

Flight Attendants shall carry out specific assigned duties relating to emergency procedures, incidents affecting security, safety of passengers, crew members and the aircraft. In addition, Cabin Crew will deliver professional and exceptional customer service. Cabin Crew shall:

  1. Immediately communicate any on-board safety concern they may have or, that may have been communicated to them by a passenger, to the In-Charge

  2. Follow and enforce Company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements

  3. Ensure all safety procedures are in compliance with Transport Canada requirements and the Flight Attendant Manual

  4. Work well with others in a team environment

  5. Assist the In-Charge in the execution of duties as outlined in the Flight Attendant Manual

  6. Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers

  7. Deliver exceptional customer service

  8. Comply with uniform standards

  9. Assist passengers with their needs

  10. Cause no unnecessary delay to the departure of any flight

  11. Maintain valid personal travel and identification documents

  12. React and respond accordingly to all emergencies, and,

  13. Manage and communicate to all crew members any unusual circumstances

Responsibilities In addition to duties outlined in the Flight Attendant Manual, the Crew Leader shall:

  1. Liaise with the Pilots and security personnel during normal, non-normal and emergency situations

  2. Report to the Captain any circumstances or malfunction of equipment they observe, or which may be reported by a passenger that may affect the safety of the flight

  3. Act as the liaison between the Pilots and Cabin Crew

  4. Be responsible for the Cabin Crew under the operational command of the Captain

  5. Provide effective leadership for the Cabin Crew

  6. Apply all safety and security standards and procedures outlined in the Flight Attendant Manual

  7. Ensure that Cabin Crew under their command apply all safety and security standards outlined in the Flight Attendant Manual

  8. Report to the Captain and the Manager, Inflight all incidents, safety concerns of either crew or passengers, and situations affecting the safety of the operation by reporting through the Jetlines Safety & Quality Program

  9. Complete all required reports for submission to In-Flight Service Management, and,

  10. Ensure leadership of the Flight Attendants on board and drive adherence to corporate specifications for service and safety standard.

What You Need to Have to Join Our Family:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age.

  • Safety focused with a strong customer service experience and an exceptional passion to engage with customers and create a memorable journey.

  • A passion for travel and a flexibility to work irregular hours, including early mornings, evening, weekends, holidays and on call duty.

  • You must hold a valid Canadian Passport.

  • Ability to represent the Jetlines brand and live our values with pride and integrity.

  • A warm, empathetic, and welcoming outlook.

  • Proficiency in English. Multiple language ability is an asset, and bilingual (English/French) candidates will be given a priority consideration.

  • Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) passing a mandatory criminal background check.

  • Able to meet the physical demands of the role, indicated by successfully completing a medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing.

  • Successfully complete the Jetlines Initial Flight Attendant Training Program.

  • Proof of mandatory Covid-19 vaccination approved by Public Health Agency of Canada or approved exemption.
